Samsung Leads In Europe

Apple should now switch to planting Apple trees. Haha. IT IS SAMSUNG ALL THE WAY.

Kantar Worldpanel ComTech have released their latest smartphone sales data which makes very good reading for Samsung. Samsung, you tech giant!

Samsung's share of the European smartphone market has now hit 45 per cent in the last 12 weeks, which has been boosted vastly by the launch of the highly admired Galaxy S III.

The Android platform is also benefiting from Samsung's successes and commanded a whopping 65.7 per cent share of the smartphone market in the big five European countries. That is an increase of 23 per cent based on the same month (July) in 2011. Additionally, in the UK Google's Android platform achieved a 59.5 per cent market share in the last 13 weeks which is up from 48 per cent at the same time last year.

Things don't look so rosy for RIM who saw their market share drop in almost every market worldwide. Britian saw the sharpest decline with its share halving to just 10 per cent , while the Windows platform retains a 3 per cent share in most markets. Apple, Blackberry, Who?
